Super Secure LAN Access Bypass
Yes, this is kind of a joke, but I’m on a corporate LAN right now, and my access request for access to the internets has been put in place, but could take a couple days before my laptop will be allowed through.
Out of some boredom and curiosity, I swiped the CAT5 from the desktop I was sitting next to and plugged it into my Macbook Pro…. nothing.
Next, i ran this on the PC to grab it’s MAC address:
C:\ipconfig
then in Terminal on my MacBook Pro I ran this:
Computer:~Adam$ sudo ifconfig en0 lladdr 00:0d:60:48:7d:c1
(that’s the MAC address from the PC that already had access)
bam! I’m surfing the webs =)
